• Children:  Kendra Lynne Henson, b. 10-5-72; BS from WIU, social worker in VT.  Brandon Leigh Henson, b. 4-9-77; music education major at Southwest MO State.
  
  

• At 52, started life over:  1994-1997, contested divorce (the court graciously allowed me to keep my fishing poles and underwear).
  
  

• 1998, two weeks at the Mayo Clinic for diagnosis of lymphoma, then home for six months of chemo and radiation, remission.
  
  

• 1999, marriage to Patricia Leigh Hartman, Pekin High Class of 1968; B.S. English and Journalism, SIU; MBA, Boston University.
